Performance Features
Built By Golfers, For Golfers.
The VertaCat works outdoors on courses. The SimCat works indoors in simulator bays. Both use the same core technology to solve the same challenge: giving adaptive golfers the natural standing position and freedom of movement that golf requires.
Select an option below:
- VertaCat
- SimCat
Stand Naturally.
Swing Fully.
We designed the VertaCat to solve actual problems adaptive golfers told us about. They need to stand naturally for proper swing mechanics, navigate rough terrain without getting stuck, and keep pace with their playing partners.
Golf courses need the technology to just work as intended–no special training for staff or modifications to the course.
Those requirements shaped every decision we made.
VertaCat Features
"Friction-Free" Stand-Up Assist
The system uses support straps at the chest, waist, and knees to raise the user into standing position without the sliding that can cause skin irritation.
The technology can help courses become ADA compliant, with multiple redundant safety systems tested over thousands of hours of use.
Navigate the Whole Course
The VertaCat handles a 17-degree slope, and can easily manage hills, rough, and sand traps on virtually any course. A built-in accelerometer measures the angle 50 times per second and chirps to warn the user when approaching the limit.
Technical Specs:
- VertaCat Weight: 680 lbs
- Max Safe Slope: 17 degrees
- Load Capacity: 300 lbs, including golfer, clubs, and accessories
Match Group Pace
The VertaCat reaches speeds of up to 8.0 mph in Turbo mode, matching or exceeding standard golf cart speeds. With six speed settings available, riders can adjust performance based on the situation—slower speeds for precise positioning around the green and faster speeds for moving efficiently between holes.
Speed Settings:
Normal Mode
- Speed 1: 3.3 mph – precise positioning
- Speed 2: 4.5 mph – comfortable cruising
- Speed 3: 5.8 mph – confident coverage
Turbo Mode
- Speed 1: 3.3 mph
- Speed 2: 5.8 mph
- Speed 3: 8.0 mph
Welcome on Premium Courses
Three extra-wide, lightly-treaded tires distribute the weight across a larger surface area than standard golf carts. The soft rubber provides traction on hills without damaging the turf.
The tires and weight distribution were specifically designed to protect greens.
Micro-Adjustments
Without Backing Up
When position needs adjustment by a few inches, the user can pivot in place instead of backing out and re-approaching the ball. The 53-inch turning radius handles standard golf course navigation without requiring special route considerations.
Technical Specs:
- Turning Clearance: 53 inches
- Length (with bumper & footrest): 75 inches
- Width (to widest point): 36.6 inches
- Golf Bag Configuration Width: 41.6 inches
Multiple Safety Systems
The VertaCat includes several automatic safety features that operate seamlessly in the background:
- Brakes lock automatically when stopped on a hill
- Acceleration and deceleration happen smoothly without jerking
- Speed reduces automatically during turns
- The system corrects for drift to keep tracking straight
- Movement is limited to crawl speed when the seat is elevated
- An accelerometer chirps when on steep terrain
Battery Range for 18 Holes
The 58-volt Lithium Iron Phosphate battery has about a 15-mile range on a single charge, which covers a full 18-hole round on most courses with power to spare. A dual battery pack option can extend range even further.
The smart charger works in both hot and cold temperatures and fully charges overnight. An optional faster 15-amp charger completes a charge in about 4 hours.
Technical Specs:
- Battery Chemistry: Lithium Iron Phosphate
- Maximum Voltage: 58 Volts VDC
- Cycle Life: Over 2,000 cycles
- Range: Up to 15 miles per charge
- Smart Charger: Charges safely in hot or cold temperatures
- Optional 15A upgrade: Full charge in 4 hours
Armrests That Move Out of the Way
The armrests fold out of the way quickly. This provides complete freedom of movement through the swing, and also helps when transferring between the VertaCat to a wheelchair—either from the side or the front.
Adjusts to Different Body Types
The VertaCat accommodates different body types through fully adjustable seat height, position, armrest, and footrest settings.
Comfort Specifications:
- Seat Height: 21.6 – 27.35 inches
- Seat Position (front to back): 14.1 – 19.1 inches
- Armrest Height: 6.4 – 8.5 inches
- Backrest Height: 10 – 13.5 inches
- Footrest to Seat: 14.7 – 21.2 inches
Fits Standard Vehicles
The VertaCat fits in the back of a standard minivan or SUV without requiring a specialized vehicle or lift system.
Intuitive Controls
A high-performance joystick with six buttons (Power, Speed, Seat Up, Seat Down, Lights, Horn) handles all operations. The controls can switch from right to left armrest without tools.
Built for Regular Use
Two commercial-grade, high-torque electric motors provide ample power for varied terrain and regular use. The system is designed for durability and consistent performance.

Freedom To Swing Fully, Indoors.
The SimCat uses the same stand-up technology as the outdoor VertaCat, sized for simulator bays. Players get the same natural positioning and swing freedom, which means practice mechanics transfer to the course.
For facilities, the SimCat fits into existing setups without modifications, rewiring, or extensive staff training. Most importantly, it opens facilities to adaptive golfers who represent untapped market potential.
SimCat Features
Note: SimCat shares several core technologies with VertaCat, but in a more compact form optimized for indoor use. Features are reframed for the simulator environment.
Natural Standing Position
The stand-up mechanism uses support straps at the chest, waist, and knees to raise the user without the sliding that causes skin irritation. The result is standing on the ground in a natural golf posture, which means swing mechanics in the simulator match what happens on a course.
Refined over years of use, this technology offers an experience that inspires 95% of demo participants to invest in their own.
Fits Standard Simulator Bays
The SimCat is compact enough to work in typical simulator bays without feeling cramped. Users have plenty of room for backswing and follow-through. Facilities don't need to tear out hitting platforms or reconfigure their space.
Technical Specs:
- Designed for standard simulator bay dimensions
- Turning radius optimized for indoor maneuvering
- Weight distribution safe for typical flooring
- Fully compatible with ADA-compliant facilities
Standard Electrical Requirements
The SimCat uses standard electrical outlets for charging—no special electrical work or charging stations required. Units can charge during off-hours or between longer sessions.
Nothing Inhibits Motion
Foldout armrests and optimized design mean the swing is completely unrestricted. Foldout front caster tires can help with wheelchair transfers. Players practice with real mechanics, not compensated movements.
Adapted Safety for Indoor Use
Safety features adapted for indoor environments include:
- Anti-jerk acceleration for smooth operation
- Speed modulation for controlled movement
- Electromagnetic braking system
Built-in safety features protect both users and the facility, reducing liability concerns.
Fast Setup for Different Users
The SimCat adjusts quickly for different body types and preferences. The seat bottom is raised and lowered with a simple push button. One unit can serve multiple users throughout the day without needing multiple specialized units.
Intuitive Controls
The SimCat uses a simple joystick and button controls, similar to a standard powered wheelchair. Staff training requires minimal time (30 minutes or less), and users can self-operate after initial orientation.
Designed for Commercial Facilities
Commercial-grade components mean consistent performance session after session. The SimCat is built for commercial facility use with regular daily bookings. This reduces maintenance concerns and downtime.
Protects Facility Flooring
The design is gentle on facility flooring without requiring special floor protection or modifications. Wide, soft tires distribute weight safely across the surface.
