Every VertaCat Mobility Rider has a series of Cat Smart features designed to ensure a safe ride. These include:

  • Auto-electromagnetic brakes - automatically locks the brakes on when rider stops on a hill
  • Anti-jerk acceleration/deceleration - automatically tempers acceleration and deceleration for a comfortable, jerk-free ride
  • Fast turn speed modulation - instantly reduces speed as VertaCat turns
  • Closed loop control - modulates speed to ensure straight tracking and reduce fishtailing
  • Steepness warning - a built-in accelerometer measures roll axis 50 times per second and will chirp when VertaCat exceeds a 17% grade and will chirp fast at a 26% grade
  • Crawl speed only when elevated - VertaCat is only able to move at crawl speed when the stand-up assist is elevated

Every VertaCat comes standard with a state-of-the-art 58v Lithium Phosphate (LiFePo4) Battery that will easily last for an entire 18 hole round of golf on a hilly course (15-mile approximate range). Included is a 5 amp Smart Charger that will charge in either hot or cold temperatures without damaging the battery and will easily charge the battery overnight. Optional 15A charger upgrade charges battery in 4 hours.
